“Wait a minute, who stole my maple syrup??”

"Wait a minute, who stole my maple syrup??"

After German manner, four hours before departure at the airport been … the flight I then somehow still almost missed. Attentive readers will now immediately notice: Time management is in my blood!

11:50 noon, but now in Canadian time: Arrival at Pearson International Airport, Toronto (Ontario)

I had made it onto the plane after all. Unfortunately, my travel partner could not claim that: Due to minimal problems at the check-in, she was not allowed on board! So I was on my own for the time being, with a lot of luggage, but without any information about the booked accommodation. So far everything went as planned!

Fortunately, the journey did not continue as chaotically as it started. It was then first to let the largest city in Canada to work on itself.

First to Niagara Falls

Afterwards we went on to Trois-Rivieres to my university. There immediately the first friendships were made. This happened so fast, that after a week in Toronto, and after only 48 hours in Trois-Rivieres, I immediately decided to go back to Ontario to Niagara Falls with my newly met friend Philip.

Unnecessarily complicated? Sure thing!

It was fun anyway? In any case!

"Wait a minute, who stole my maple syrup??"

At this point you might ask yourself how I get from A to B in Canada, the country of huge distances and undeveloped public transport?

Answer: With our 2001 Toyota Echo, purchased in Trois-Rivieres.

"Wait a minute, who stole my maple syrup??"
"Wait a minute, who stole my maple syrup??"

Here I also realized for the first time how nice Canadians actually are:

We could only buy this car because our landlord of the AirBnbs is probably the most hospitable Canadian of all times. Marco not only helped us to buy the car, but also took us to the registration office, to the insurance company, took us on his boat… So if you're ever looking for a place to stay in Trois-Rivieres, Canada, I've got a great tip for you!

A few impressions I have gathered in Canada so far

"Wait a minute, who stole my maple syrup??"
"Wait a minute, who stole my maple syrup??"
"Wait a minute, who stole my maple syrup??"
"Wait a minute, who stole my maple syrup??"

And all this was only my first six weeks here in Canada. I report to you then of course also about the coming weeks. But until then I have a little appointment with a middle class bear family, because:

Wait a minute, who stole my maple syrup?!

"Wait a minute, who stole my maple syrup??"
